The ROG Xbox Ally X released on Oct. 16, 2025, and there are some improvements coming to the handheld for players to enjoy. The handheld's updates include adding Default Game Profiles in the preview and other additional enhancements.
The Default Game Profiles can be tweaked per game and only apply when the battery is on. When launching a game, the handheld automatically applies a tailored game profile. This sets the recommended power and automatically balances the frame rate. Players can turn on or off the settings in the Armoury Crate Command Center Gare Bar widget. There is a Default Game Profile (Preview) toggle located under that tab.

This feature is supported for 40 games at launch and includes games such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 & 7, DOOM, Minecraft, and Sea of Thieves.
Other additional improvements included in the updates are improved gamepad response after login, quicker library loading, improved cloud gaming page performance, new game gallery filter by performance fit and bug fixes, and performance enhancements for improved stability and responsiveness.
In order to experience the latest updates, players will need to install the latest updates for Armoury Crate SE, the Xbox PC app, and Windows 11.
