Besides the awards, many video game trailers were shown during the ceremony. One of the games shown was Brightfall. This game is a co-op open world survival-craft rougelite where players will have to gather, build and fight to keep the light alive.

Canyons was also shown at the Golden Joystick Awards. This game will have players team up with four others as they command giant Crawlers, build their haven and survive a brutal living world.
