Halloween game events throughout October

It's October, and that means Halloween game events are popping up across all platforms. Below is a list of events that players can expect this month.


Phasmophobia

The Blood Moon is back in the Crimson Eye event in Phasmophobia. Ghost Hunters will face a more difficult challenge during this event. Ghosts will have increased speed and sanity will drain quicker.


This event will take place at seven locations that will be on a rotation. Below is a list of the maps Ghost Hunters can investigate:


  • 6 Tanglewood Drive

  • Camp Woodwind

  • Grafton Farmhouse

  • Bleasdale Farmhouse

  • Point Hope

  • 42 Edgefield Road

  • 13 Willow Street


This year the developers decided to split the goals between personal and community.

The event runs from Oct. 9 - Oct. 31.


Palia

The latest patch in Palia brings Fall Fantasy: The Spiritfest Spectacle. This patch will bring several new offerings for players. Here's a breakdown:


  • A new barn friend called Goobi

  • Multiplayer ranching plus pen organization magic

  • New and returning items to the Spooky Moon Store, including pumpkins and Ravenwood Fences

  • Interact with benches and beds with new furniture animations

  • New seasonal Jack O' Lantern Lure

  • Premium Cosmetics such as Heavenly Creatures collection, jam-worthy emotes, and the Goobi pet.


Polterguys

Polterguys released their Halloween event, Ghoul Scouts and Haunted Trails, which will include a new level, costumes, quests, emotes, and avatars. Here's a breakdown:


  • Ghoul Scouts: Explore the haunted woods for the first time.

  • Costumes with abilities: Backpack, Bug Zapper, Shroomfrog

  • Customization: Three new emotes, three new themed profile avatars, and three new trophy avatars for leaderboards.


Players can unlock this limited-time path called Haunted Trails Quest in the Story Quests tab on the main menu. After the spooky season ends, the developers will move all rewards to the regular Spooky Trail so nothing disappears.


Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is getting into the spooky season with this fun event. Players can put on their favorite Halloween costume and trick or treat around Friendship Island to earn some witchy rewards.


There will also be some Pumpkin Spice Sodas to check out. Spooky Celebration runs through Nov. 6.


Two Point Museum

Things are turning a bit more spooky in Two Point Museum. Here's a breakdown of what players can expect:


  • Three new hex-citing Witch Crafts to discover

  • New Exhibit in the Supernatural theme

  • Autumn items, such as a haystack bench and a corner bench

  • Two autumn-themed lanterns and carved pumpkins

  • Autumn decor such as a barrow, a wall basket, a pair of pumpkins, and a banner set

  • Two new wallpaper and flooring options

  • New neighboring Witch visitor


Borderlands 4

A free-limited time seasonal mini-event, Horrors of Kairos, will turn the planet red. Vault Hunters will experience blood rain and have a chance to score new Legendary loot.


  • Murmur: A Legendary Tediore Assault Rifle, will execute weakened enemies and guarantees crits on targets under 35% health.

  • Skully: A Legendary Order Grenade that fires projectiles that seek out the nearest enemies.



There will be a SHIFT code for a new Vault Hunter Head, "Gourd Your Loins", and a Weapon Skin "Hex Appeal".


This event runs from Oct. 23 through Nov. 6.

Sketchy's Contracts

Sketchy's Contract is ready for the Halloween season with a fun event. This event will have a new map for players to explore.


A brand new paranormal investigation will take place at Hollow Manor. Let's break down how this event will work.


  • Players have four primary tools to investigate with: a UV light, an EMF reader, a thermometer, and a video camera.

  • Hunts will occur occasionally, and players will need to hide and survive until the hunt ends. Players will also need to drink some coffee when sanity levels are low.

  • Players can buy: Halloween stuff from last year, new Halloween-themed plush, new Halloween-themed weapon charms, and new Halloween-themed skins.

  • There are two haunted houses: Sketchy's haunted graveyard and Sketchy's classic haunted house.


This event begins on Oct. 20 - Nov. 3 on Steam.
