The Avalanche Studios Group released an update about its studio and its plan to shut down its Liverpool studio.

The announcement, which was posted on the website, talked about how this was a tough decision but was made "to best ensure Avalanche Studios Group's long-term success."

"This review has led us to the difficult conclusion that we must make changes to our staffing and locations. As a result, we are proposing to close our Liverpool studio, and to initiate a collective consultation process, as required by UK law. This will impact all Avalanchers in Liverpool. The changes will also impact our other studio locations in Malmo and Stockholm, where we will reduce our workforce and restructure the teams to address our games' needs."

Even though there will be changes, Avalanche Studios Group said they are still committed to their games and their player communities.

Avalanche Studios Group is known for it's development of Just Cause, theHunter, Mad Max and Renegade Ops. It's predecessor was Rock Solid Games.
