The Steam Animal Fest ran from Nov. 10 to Nov. 17, featuring games with all kinds of animals and critters as the main characters. Morgan and KP have their top 10 picks from the fest.
Morgan's Top 10
1) Farwell North

In this whimsical and touching game, players play as a border collie dog working on restoring color to their owner's world. This journey takes gamers through the beautiful Northern Isles of Scotland, where they will explore land, sea, secret paths, and even herd and free wildlife.
2) Jumping Jazz Cats

Grab some friends because this one is a party game meant for a group of felines. Players will race and parkour around a massive and pretty cartoon mansion riddled with cooperative and competitive mini-games.
3) Cat Goes Fishing

Players will embark as a master fisher-cat searching the sea for the biggest and baddest fish. Starting with a basic rod, players will be able to upgrade it to reach the ocean's deepest depths and even catch more fish in one go. WARNING: Each fish has their own unique behaviors.
4) Sunderfolk

Players will need a smartphone or tablet to play this unique game. Sunderfolk is a tactical co-op RPG made to reinvent game night. One copy of the game is needed for the whole playing party. Together, players will face down epic bosses and outsmart their enemies.
5) VORON: Raven's Story

In this story-driven game, players embody a Nordic raven on an adventure to the World of Gods. VORON is an open world full of secrets, puzzles, and trapped souls who need help being guided to the afterlife. VORON: Raven's Story just released on Nov. 10, 2025.
6) Garden Paws

After inheriting your grandparents' farm, players will work with the local construction shop to finish making their new home theirs. From building up the cozy town to running your own shop, players will explore caves, islands, and even start growing their own crops.
7) Spirit of the North 2

As the sequel to the acclaimed game, 'Spirit of the North', this game takes gamers on a third-person adventure of an isolated fox with a raven companion working to unravel the mysteries of this beautiful and mysterious ancient world. Their goal? Restore the guardians of this land and return home.
8) Spirit City: Lofi Sessions

Spirit City: Lofi Sessions is a game meant to help the player focus while enjoying cozy lofi music. As they play, they'll find and collect Spirits, ease their stress and improve concentration on real-life tasks, and customize their cozy virtual, lofi-playing space.
9) Gemporium: A Cute Mining Sim

Gemporium is a cute and fast-paced shop management game where players will expand their shop, go mining for gemstones, and then clean, refine, and sell those gems. It's time to turn a profit to pay off their debts one gem at a time.
10) Cozy Caravan

Alone or with friends, players can play this top-down journey as an animal where they craft, trade, and explore a beautifully cozy world. Players will form lasting bonds are they pass through and set up shop in each charming town they come across with their merchant caravan.
KP's Top 10
1) Sheepherds!
In this cozy co-op party game for one to four players, take on the role of a sheepdog and guide flocks to collect their wool. Bark, run and play together while taking on challenges to unlock new breeds and outfits. Sheepherds! releases Nov. 17.
2) Whiskerwood

Players will control industrious mice that are under the oppressive paw of cat overlords. In Whiskerwood build complex and intricate production chains while paying off debt to the cat overlords.
3) Escape from Cluckov

Escape from Cluckov will have players loot and shoot their way through the world of Cluckov. Gamers will upgrade their character, build their arsenal and loot their foes to end the fowl Duck regime. The game will be available in December.
4) Otterly Lost

In Otterly Lost, gamers will play as Otto as he tries to find his way back home. Players will explore wild forests, dive underwater and glide over rocky canyons. Along the way, meet other animals and complete quests and challenges. The game is set to release in 2026. There is a demo available on Steam.
5) Winter Burrow
This is a cozy woodland survival game where gamers play as a mouse who returns to their childhood burrow. Players will explore, gather resources, craft, knit, and bake as they restore their burrow. The game was released on Nov. 12, 2025.
6) Wizard Cats

Master the arcane arts to become the best wizard of the land. Wizard Cats is a single-player game where gamers will fight their way through endless hordes of animals. Along the way, collect mystical runes and hop through portals. The game has a demo available on Steam.
7) Brew

Time to jump into an action-packed, third-person roguelite that will have players brew potions and use multiple weapons to defeat foes, all while passing their exams. Brew was released on Nov. 6, 2025. There is a demo available on Steam.
8) Haunted Paws

This cozy co-op horror game will have players take on the role of two puppies on a mission to find and rescue their human. Players can customize their dog, explore spooky environments, solve puzzles and help other humans along the way. Players can request access to the playtest on Steam.
9) Atura

Atura is a different take on sheepherding. In this single-player game, gamers will need to use precision to navigate flocks through obstacles in order to complete each trial. The game will test skill and quick thinking as players master the art of sheep herding. The game is expected to release in Q4 2025. There is also a demo available on Steam
10) Animal Shelter 2

Check out this heartwarming game, Animal Shelter 2, where gamers will create a home for every four-legged friend. Play, pet and dress them up to help find them a loving home. This game can be played single-player or co-op. The game was released on July 23, 2025. There is also a demo available on Steam.
